Traffic Violations
At the Law Offices of Pollack, Cooperman & Fisher, P.C., we represent clients with traffic violations including moving violations and parking tickets. New York State uses a points schedule to determine the gravity of any traffic violation. Accumulating numerous points on your driving record is costly and may lead to a suspension or even a revocation of your driver’s license.
Most tickets are just 'violations' under NY law, most people don't understand that some traffic tickets can cause you to be criminally charged. In fact, traffic tickets can have serious consequences. Most people don't know that Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle, for example, is a misdemeanor - a crime - in New York and it can happen just by driving when you knew (or had reason to know) that your license was suspended. In New York State, the DMV must revoke your license if you are convicted of speeding within an 18 month period regardless of how many points you have.
If you have unpaid traffic tickets, speeding tickets or any moving violations, contact our office today at (516) 228-0033.
